About SET FREE
SET FREE is a place where you can take off your mask
and receive help; a place for healthy challenges; a
place to care for others and be cared for.
Transforming Truths: Each SET FREE meeting
includes 30 minutes of dynamic biblical teaching on
overcoming stubborn habits and addictions.
Childcare Provided: We offer clean nurseries and
trained workers. There is no need for costly child care
while you participate.
Leadership Staff: Each SET FREE group has a trained
staff of volunteers who are equipped to work with you
one-on-one or in a group setting.
Group Discussion and Fellowship: Each SET FREE
meeting is split into discussion groups to share
burdens and blessings. Members have an opportunity
to share past and present struggles and receive
prayer and support on a personal level.
Stories of Personal Victory: At every SET FREE
meeting, members have an opportunity to share how
God has transformed their lives. This testimony time
gives hope to the hurting.
Resources to Help You Change: We have program
guides, handbooks, workbooks, memory books, and many audio and visual resources to help you grow.
Transportation Provided: We offer free transportation
by van or car if you have no way of getting to a
meeting. Call the number below. |

Jesus said: “If ye continue in my word, then are
ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the
truth, and the truth shall make you free. If the
Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be
free indeed.” John 8:31-32, 36
Seven Steps to Freedom
Step 1
Seek God first and admit that I am
powerless to control my tendency to do the
wrong thing and my life is unmanageable
apart from God.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the
kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:3
Step 2
Earnestly believe that God exists,
that He cares about my struggles and has
the power to help me change.
“Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be
comforted.” Matthew 5:4
Step 3
Trust God and consciously choose
to commit all my life and will to Christ’s care
and control.
“Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the
earth” Matthew 5:5
Step 4
Feed on God’s Word daily and
openly examine and confess my faults to
myself, to God, and to someone I trust.
“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after
righteousness: for they shall be filled” Matthew 5:6
Step 5
Re-evaluate all my relationships.
Offer forgiveness to those who have hurt
me and make amends for harm I’ve done to
others.
“Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain
mercy.” Matthew 5:7
Step 6
Examine my heart and reserve a
daily quiet time with God for self-examination,
Bible reading, and prayer in order to know
God and His will for my life and gain the
power to do it.
“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see
God.” Matthew 5:8
Step 7
Endeavor to reach others with the
Good News of how they can have peace with
God and enter into His family and support
group—the local church.
“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be
called the children of God.” Matthew 5: 9
